Cold. Scary. Destructive.

Cancer is a chilling word on its own, and even more chilling when attached to a sentence like “You have cancer.” Every year, millions of people around the world are diagnosed with cancer and embark on a journey they never expected they’d have to experience.
Bones fans know that “Everything Happens Eventually” and we want to ensure  that ‘eventually’ cancer won’t be such a scary word. That’s why we have joined forces with Stand Up 2 Cancer.

Stand Up 2 Cancer is “a new initiative created to accelerate groundbreaking cancer research that will get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives. SU2C’s goal is to bring together the best and the brightest in the cancer community, encouraging collaboration instead of competition. By galvanizing the entertainment industry, SU2C creates awareness and builds broad public support for this effort.”  (http://www.standup2cancer.org/su2c/mission)

You are probably wondering, “What does that have to do with me?”  The simple answer is… Everyone has been touched by cancer in some way - whether you’re a survivor or a family member. Everyone has a story to tell and we want to hear yours!

This is your chance to share your cancer story with us and other Bones fans to use their experiences to help reach our goal of at least $2000 (we are hoping for more)!

We’re looking for testimonials to air during the week of June 12th on Tumblr and on www.thevoiceoftv.com to personalize this endeavor. We want to see the people who have been touched by cancer within our fandom. We hope to have enough stories to air new videos each day.

We Bones fans are a close-knit group with huge hearts and we want to show the world that we will Stand Up 2 Cancer! We’ll be waiting for your stories!
